What is Direct Primary Care?

Direct Primary Care (DPC) is both timeless and innovative.

It’s old-fashioned in the best way restoring the personal connection between patients and their provider without layers of red tape and restrictions.

It’s also modern, using today’s technology to make healthcare easier to access, more convenient, and more affordable for individuals and families.

At Meadow Primary Care, DPC means:

  • You pay us directly, not through insurance companies or complicated billing.
  • You pay a simple monthly membership fee, no surprise bills or office visit charges.

For most patients, that means unlimited access to their provider for less than $119 a month, including office visits, urgent care, telehealth, and even at-home visits.

No barriers, no rushed appointments  just personal, relationship-based care when and how you need it.

The Insurance Model of Care: Complexity

Traditional healthcare has become complicated, frustrating, and impersonal.

Every visit comes with hidden costs, long waits, and multiple layers of billing, approvals, and insurance claims, often leaving patients unsure of what they owe and providers rushed and limited.

At Meadow Primary Care, we know this isn’t the way healthcare should feel.

Our mission is to break free from the old system and provide care that puts people first, not paperwork.

The Direct Model of Care: Simplicity

Direct Primary Care brings healthcare back to what matters. You and your provider connected, accessible, and focused on your health.

At Meadow Primary Care, your membership gives you unlimited access to office visits, urgent care, telehealth, and even at-home visits.

No insurance. No surprise bills. No hoops to jump through.

Our goal is simple: to deliver the highest level of care in the simplest, most direct way possible - so you get the time, attention, and relationship you deserve.

A Smarter, Simpler Way to Get the Care You Deserve

Why Paying Directly Makes Sense

There are many reasons why avoiding insurance-based primary care is better for your health and your wallet:

  • Primary care is affordable — It doesn’t need to go through insurance.
  • Transparent pricing — Know exactly what care costs.
  • Lower overhead — Smaller patient panels and more time for you.
  • Better value — Focus on care, not billing or insurance codes.
  • True patient-provider relationship — No third-party interference in your care.
  • Medical records for care, not billing — Documentation stays focused on your health.

Why a Monthly Fee Puts You First

Traditional fee-for-service care rewards:

  • Frequent, often unnecessary visits
  • Short appointments
  • High volume of procedures
  • Sicker patients

With Direct Primary Care, the monthly fee flips that model:

  • No incentive for unnecessary visits — Many needs handled by text, phone, or video
  • Focus on keeping you healthy and thriving
  • Same-day or next-day appointments almost always available
  • Longer visits — 30 minutes for simple concerns, 60+ minutes for new patients
  • No wait times — Fewer patients, more access
  • Stronger patient-provider relationships — More time, better care

Do You Still Need Insurance?

While Direct Primary Care covers almost everything you need day-to-day, insurance still plays a role for:

  • Hospitalizations
  • Surgeries
  • Expensive medications or procedures

That’s why we recommend all patients maintain some form of insurance for catastrophic events, whether through:

  • Healthcare Marketplace (healthcare.gov)
  • Employer-sponsored plans
  • Paired high-deductible or catastrophic plans for businesses

DPC + catastrophic coverage = a complete, affordable solution for health protection.

Important Note for Medicare Beneficiaries:

Due to current Medicare regulations, we cannot include Medicare-covered services in this membership plan.

If you are a Medicare beneficiary, please join our Medicare waitlist to be notified when eligibility opens.

Medicare pays for a doctor visit.
We offer time, attention, and peace of mind you won't find in a rushed system — for those eligible to enroll privately.
