Clinical Background
Meriem has spent more than a decade caring for patients in some of the most demanding settings in healthcare. She began as a bedside cardiac nurse, then served as a pediatric nurse at Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital. As a board-certified nurse practitioner, she went on to work in urgent care and internal medicine.
That range shows up in the exam room. She is as comfortable with a toddler's ear infection as she is managing an adult's blood pressure, diabetes, and five medications at once.
Why She Founded Meadow
In high-volume, insurance-based primary care, Meriem was expected to see patient after patient in 7-minute slots. She knew what her patients needed, and she knew it couldn't be done in that time.
Patients deserve a provider with the time to listen, and the access to reach them when it matters.
So she and her husband, Justin Richardson, built Meadow Primary Care around a different model. Fewer patients. Longer visits. Direct access. Care that feels personal again.

Her Philosophy on Care

Old School Medicine. Modern Touch. For Meriem, that means the parts of medicine that got lost: knowing your patients by name, sitting down long enough to hear the whole story, and following up because you want to know how they're doing.
The modern part is making that easy, with same-day visits, direct text, and telehealth when coming in doesn't make sense.
